Careers Education
Our Careers Education, Information, Advice and Guidance (CEIAG) programme aims to be inclusive of all Stratford School Academy pupils, helping our young people to gain the knowledge, understanding, skills, and attitudes required to make informed choices about their futures.
At Stratford School Academy, we value the importance of students gaining insight into different careers to support them in making these decisions. All students have access to Morrisby, a careers platform that enables them to explore their skills and interests and understand how these can be transferred into specific careers.
We encourage our students to reflect on the skills and experiences that they are developing both through their education and through extra-curricular activities. Our PSHCE careers curriculum, prompts students to consider their strengths, interests, and the demands of the current labour market.
In addition, all year groups actively participate in National Careers Week, National Apprenticeship Week, and Green Careers Week. Through assemblies, tutor activities, and trips, students are encouraged to think about their aspirations, how their subjects connect to different career pathways, and what further skills they may need to develop for the future.
We believe that providing students with high-quality careers education and guidance is key to enabling them to succeed beyond school. Our programme is developed in line with the Gatsby Benchmarks, which provide a nationally recognised framework for effective whole-school careers provision.
Careers Leader
Our academy Careers Leader, Ms. Courtney Green, holds a Level 6 Diploma in Careers Guidance and Development and is registered with the Careers Development Institute. Ms. Green adheres to the CDI Code of Ethics to ensure impartiality in her careers practice.
During Year 10 – Year 11, all students will have a one-to-one session with a careers adviser to discuss their aspirations and options as they approach the end of KS4. Post-interview feedback is collected to quality-assure the careers guidance students receive.

Alumni
Future First supports our schools' careers programme by helping us manage and grow our alumni network. Through this network, former students share their career journeys, inspire our current pupils, and offer valuable advice on developing the essential skills needed for the workplace.
We are always eager to welcome more past students and supporters to our alumni community. By joining, you can play a vital role in shaping the aspirations of our young people and helping them prepare for the future.
