A Powerful Learning Experience for Year 9 Students

This term, all Year 9 students at SSA were treated to a visit from the Solomon Theatre Company, who performed their impactful production Skin Deep.
The play tackled important and sensitive topics such as knife crime, gang involvement, grooming, racism and peer pressure — issues that many young people may encounter, making the performance both relevant and educational. Delivered in an engaging and age-appropriate way, the production encouraged students to reflect, ask questions and think carefully about the choices they make.
We are delighted to share that the theatre company praised our students for being a fantastic audience — well-behaved, highly engaged and proactive in discussions, which is a real credit to them and to the school community.
Well done to all our Year 9s for representing SSA so positively, and a huge thank you to the staff who supported the students throughout the day and helped make this experience so meaningful.
