Stratford School Academy Achieves Silver AI Quality Mark
Celebrating our commitment to responsible, ethical and inclusive AI in education
Stratford School Academy is delighted to announce that we have been awarded the Silver AI Quality Mark by the Good Future Foundation, recognising our thoughtful, strategic and safety-conscious approach to artificial intelligence (AI) in education.
Awarded on 7 October 2026, this achievement marks an important milestone in our ongoing journey to explore how AI can support teaching, learning and school operations while keeping safeguarding, ethics and students' wellbeing at the heart of our approach.
As AI continues to shape the world around us, we recognise the importance of preparing our school community to understand both its opportunities and its limitations. Our approach is guided by a detailed AI policy, a three-year implementation strategy and a commitment to ensuring that AI is used responsibly and appropriately.
A key part of this work has been investing in staff development through whole-school training, helping teachers and support staff explore how AI can support lesson planning, resource preparation, differentiated learning materials and inclusive classroom practice.
The assessment also recognised our work to explore AI in assessment, alongside our efforts to help students understand important issues such as bias, misinformation, privacy, deepfakes and online safety. We believe that developing critical awareness of these issues is essential in preparing young people for an increasingly AI-enabled world.
Our Silver AI Quality Mark is an achievement to be proud of, as well as a foundation for continued development. We will continue to build on this progress by strengthening curriculum provision, developing staff expertise and engaging with students, parents and carers to promote safe, ethical and effective AI use.
We are proud of the work that has brought us to this point and look forward to continuing to explore how AI can enhance learning, support inclusion and benefit our wider school community.
Congratulations to everyone involved in this important work!
